The Midnight Jammers first release Moovin' On a four song EP showcases their range of skills from a Junior Wells type shuffle on 'Queen of the Blues' to a boppy radio friendly 4/4 groove of 'Gotta Get that Feeling' that echoes the Alman Brothers twin guitar riffs. 'Bring Her Home to Me' has a pulsing funky riff throughout that conjures up a Bernard Allison song. Whilst 'Sing Away Your Blues' find the band slide effortlessly into a laid-back Sunday afternoon groove.

About

The four tracks on this first EP have memorable melodies that stand on their own, with an unmistakably musical foundation and compelling lyrics. For The Midnight Jammers, it's all about the song. They deliver musical hooks, skilled arrangements, and memorable riffs that provide a just the right touch of groove to support the pulse each song.

This is an independent release by TMJ on Tube Records TUBECD 52. The Midnight Jammers would like to thank Sara Dusseldorp for Backing Vocals and our family, friends and supporters and anyone else who has come to our gigs and followed us.

On the lyrical side Sing 'Away Your Blues' explores a positive way to get through your blues whilst the happy up tempoed vibe of 'Gotta Get that Feeling' … relishes the lost art of real one on one conversation so lost in this isolated world of mobile social media communication. 'Bring her Home to Me' …echoes that old blues chestnut of the girl walking out and the singer trying to find her again after he has stuffed up! Whilst 'Queen of the Blues' laments the fact that we can’t seem to work out who is the "Queen of the Blues".
